Shri Mukhyaprana Lakshmivenkatesh temple is located at Molkod, Honnavara taluk of UttaraKannda District. The main deity being worshipped here is lord Venkatesha and lord Mukhyaprana. The temple has devotees from all over Molkod. GSB people in Molkod are the main worshippers at the temple. This temple comes under the administration of Shri Gokarna Parthagali JeevottamMutt. This temple has history of 33 years. The God here, previously belonged to Acharya family which they then handed over to the hands of people in Molkod and the temple was built.

Vanabhojana

This is most popular utsava held at our temple. Vanabhojana is scheduled on the day of Karthika Krishna Panchami every year. This utsava is celebrated with great pomp; there will be great crowd of devotees during this utsava. Vanabhojanautsava is held for two days. On the day of Panchami, pooja rituals start early in the morning with decorating utsavamurthi,and main God with the special alankaara. Utsavamurthi is carried on pallakki to the vana( manually created forest, to get the feel of it) where yajnas's are conducted. After mahapooja, annasantarpana is held and Prasad is served to the devotees.

The temple of Shri Mukhyaprana Lakshimivenaktesha Dev was built 33 years ago and the pratishtapana was done on the day of Magha Krishna Panchami that is 14-02-1990. Every year this day of Maghamaasa is celebrated as PunarPratishtapanaVardhantiMahotsava at the temple. This utsava is also a day's procedure where poojas like Kumbhabhisheka and samohikaSatyanarayanaPoojas are held. Annasantarpana is held after Mahapooja. In the evening there will be Pallakkiutsava. God will be carried around the temple. Mangalshataka and Ashthavadhanasevas are offered. After Mahapooja, PanakaPachidi Prasad is served.
